Privacy & data handling
The story is yours to play.
ScriptPlay is an online role-playing and social-deduction game. This page explains the data used to sign in, browse scripts, create rooms, and play together.
Account and sign-in
The current web and Flutter clients use Google sign-in through Firebase. The service exchanges the Firebase identity for a short-lived game session and associates that session with the account profile. Other provider capabilities may exist in the cloud layer but are not presented by the current clients.
Game and script data
ScriptPlay processes the script catalogue, purchased or unlocked script access, room membership, player names, character assignments, chat, votes, and game-stage state needed to run a shared room. Public catalogue content can be browsed without signing in; creating or joining a playable room requires authentication.
Reader preferences and highlights are stored locally in the browser or mobile app. Room state and server-side account, entitlement, and script records are handled by the configured application backend.
Purchases
Store and subscription flows are handled through the configured payment service. ScriptPlay does not ask the browser to decide whether an entitlement exists; the backend verifies payment events before granting access.
Deletion and questions
For account, data, or purchase questions, email robopioneer.product@gmail.com from the account address and include your player name or room code only when necessary. Requests may require account verification. Payment, security, or legally required records may have separate retention obligations.
